How to clean the electric water heater

  1. Unplug the socket and close the two triangular valves.

  2. Unscrew the nut of the hot water port and block the hot water port to prevent the water from flowing out of the water heater. At the same time, unscrew the nut of the cold water port, connect the hose (shower pipe) to drain water until there is no water flowing out of the cold water port. For a 50L water heater, drain water for about 1 hour.

  3. Remove the hose connected to the cold water port, connect one end of the hose to the hot water port and the other end to the faucet, turn on the faucet to fill water for 1 minute, block the cold water port, let the cold water stay in the inner tank for a while, then open the cold water port for drainage, and repeat several times until the discharged water is clean.

  4. Screw on the nuts of the cold water port and hot water port, open the triangle valve, and turn on the hot water of the water heater faucet. After the water flows out, close it.
