What are genetic weapons?

Genetic weapons are new and more harmful biological warfare agents that artificially change the genetic genes of pathogenic microorganisms by using genetic engineering methods. It provides a broader space for changing biological genetic traits and creating newer biological varieties.

1. The cost is relatively low. It has been estimated that the lethality of a $50 million genetic weapons arsenal is far greater than that of a $5 billion nuclear weapons arsenal;

2. High lethality. The former Soviet Union once developed a highly toxic substance, only 20 mg is enough to eliminate 5 billion people in the world;

3. Genetic weapons are difficult to detect and prevent. This is because only the manufacturer of genetic weapons knows its genetic code;

4. The method of use is very simple and the means of release are diverse. It can be launched manually, artillery, rockets and aircraft, as well as surface ships and underwater submarines.

Therefore, genetic weapons can be used not only as strategic weapons to attack the enemy's vast rear targets and strategic places, but also as combat weapons to directly kill the enemy's soldiers, causing great psychological pressure to the other party.

1. The mode of war will change. The hostile parties may use genetic weapons before the war, causing damage to each other's personnel and living environment, resulting in the loss of combat effectiveness of a nation and a country, economic recession and conquest without bloodshed.

2. The military establishment system and structure will change. Combat forces will be reduced and health service support forces may be increased.

3. Strategic weapons and tactical weapons will be integrated. The future battlefield has become an invisible battlefield, making it difficult to grasp and control the battlefield situation.

4. It brings new topics to military defense and military medical research.

Once genetic weapons are put into the future war, great changes will take place in the future war.
