Why is the filament of an incandescent lamp spiral? There are four main reasons:
1. The incandescent lamp uses the high temperature generated by the power on of the resistance wire to emit light. It is made into a spiral shape, which is conducive to the accumulation of heat energy and to ensure that the electric lamp emits light according to the rated power.
2. Increase the filament length and reduce the filament diameter and increase the filament resistance through spiral. The utility model has the advantages of large luminous area and higher brightness.
3. Make the filament more elastic and avoid damage due to shaking.
4. The conductor resistance is related to the cross-sectional area and length of the conductor. If it is a straight line, it can't be installed in a small bulb! Therefore, the bulb filament is wound in a spiral shape.
