The incubation period of human infection with h7n9 avian influenza is generally less than 7 days. The symptoms are similar to flu like symptoms, such as fever, cough, less phlegm, headache, muscle pain and general discomfort. In severe cases, it turns to pneumonia, high fever of more than 39 degrees, dyspnea, hemoptysis and sputum, and even life-threatening.
