Sometimes the computer plugs in the network cable, but the computer doesn't respond at all. What's going on? The following is my solution to the problem that the computer doesn't respond after inserting the network cable for your reference.
Open the network sharing center.
Click "change adapter settings".
Open the Ethernet card properties.
Click the "configure" button.
Select advanced and find the connection speed and duplex mode in the drop-down list.
Change the default automatic detection to 10m duplex or half duplex, and then confirm to change the configuration.
After that, restart the computer and you can connect to the network.
