Why does Saturn wear a straw hat?

Among the eight planets in the solar system, some people think Jupiter is the most beautiful, because it is covered with colorful cloud bands, just like a big egg. However, more people think that although Saturn's name is "Earth", it is the most beautiful angel in the sky, because Saturn has shiny rings around it, which looks like wearing an elegant straw hat from a distance. So why is Saturn wearing this "big straw hat"?

First, let's look at the essence of this "big straw hat". In 1610, when Galileo, an Italian astronomer, observed Saturn with his homemade telescope, he found that there seemed to be something around it. At that time, the telescope was not accurate enough, so he was not sure what it was. By 1659, Dutch scientist Huygens confirmed that it was a ring around Saturn. After that, the detection of this beautiful halo will be in full swing.

So why does Saturn have this "big straw hat" and other planets don't? According to the analysis of the material in the ring, some scientists believe that it is likely that an unformed satellite was disturbed by Saturn's gravity and split into small fragments, eventually forming this unique and beautiful ring. In other words, under certain conditions, Saturn broke the satellite by its own gravity. Because these fragments can't escape, they eventually form rings around Saturn.

Because the main components of this halo are countless small stones and small ice blocks, when they are under the strong irradiation of the sun, "big straw hat" looks shiny and particularly beautiful.
