According to Sony's official news, Takeshi Yoshida, the current chief financial officer, will take office as president of Sony China from April 1, 2022, replacing Takahashi, the current chairman and President of Sony China for six years.
Sony said that Yoshida's Sony career began in the TV business. He has successfully performed important responsibilities in TV business planning and operation in Sony UK, Sony Europe and Sony headquarters, trained keen business wisdom and accumulated rich work experience. Before joining Sony China as CFO in May 2021, he served as CFO of Sony North America for three years.
According to the website, Takahashi has been the chairman and President of Sony China since April 2016. Takahashi Yang graduated from a well-known university in China in the 1980s. In the mid-1990s, he participated in the construction of Sony factory in China, the establishment of Sony China company and the construction of national sales channel network.
