How to set up WiFi hotspot sharing in win10 system

Win10 users have become more and more popular, but many people don't know much about some functions of win10 system, such as the most commonly used WiFi hotspot sharing function. Many people don't know how to set it. You might as well take a look at the following tutorial on setting WiFi hotspots with win10. I hope it will be helpful to you!

Right click the "windows" button in the lower left corner of win10 official edition, and select the "command prompt (administrator)" item from its right-click menu to enter.

From the command prompt window that opens, enter the command

  “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Win10FreeWiFi key=12345678"

Press enter to create a WiFi hotspot named "win10freewifi" and password "12345678".

After the hotspot is created, then enter the command "Netsh WLAN start hosted network" to turn on the hotspot. At this time, you can use mobile phones and other devices to try to connect to the WiFi network.

Next, take a look at the WiFi hotspot we created: right click the "network" icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar and select "open network and sharing center" from its right-click menu.

From the open "network and sharing center" interface, click the "change adapter settings" button in the upper left corner. As shown in the figure:

At this point, from the "network connection" interface, you can see the newly created network connection named "win10freewifi".

You can try to connect the free WiFi hotspot created above on your mobile phone or other devices. As shown in the figure:

If there is a prompt of "unable to connect normally" or "always obtain the IP address", we need to make the following settings: first, temporarily close the security protection software, such as "360 security guard", and set the firewall to allow the "virtual WiFi" hotspot to pass through.

In the "network connection" interface, right-click the "broadband connection" or "local connection" icon, and select the "properties" item from the pop-up right-click menu.

At this time, the "properties" interface will be opened, switch to the "sharing" tab, check the item "allow other network users to connect through the Internet connection of this computer", select "local connection * 1" (i.e. the newly created WiFi hotspot) from the home network connection drop-down list, and click "OK" to complete the setting.

Of course, if you want to close the newly created network named "win10freewifi", just enter the command "Netsh WLAN set hostednetwork mode = disallow" in the MSDOS interface and press enter.
