What's the matter with spermatorrhea?

Spermatorrhea refers to the discharge of milky white semen from the urethra during sleep or dream. With the development of reproductive organs, boys will have spermatorrhea when they reach a certain age.

Spermatorrhea is a physiological phenomenon that occurs in almost every healthy man. When boys enter puberty, their testicles secrete a lot of androgen and begin to produce sperm. Under the action of androgen, epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicle gradually mature and produce secretions. Sperm and these secretions form semen, which is produced continuously. The ancients said, "the essence overflows when it is full", which means that if there is too much semen and the container can't hold it, it will flow out. This is the physiological basis of spermatorrhea.

According to relevant surveys, the most concentrated age of boys' first spermatorrhea is 15 years old, and more than 95% of boys at the age of 17 or 18 have had spermatorrhea. Due to the different natural environment and living conditions, the age of the first spermatorrhea varies greatly. Individual boys never have spermatorrhea, which is not abnormal.

The interval of spermatorrhea is different for each person. Even for the same person, the length of interval is different in different periods or under different conditions. Most of them have ejaculation once or twice a month, and some have ejaculation as short as once in three or four days. As long as it is not too frequent, it is normal. Therefore, male students should understand the principle of spermatorrhea and eliminate unnecessary tension, fear and shyness caused by spermatorrhea.

Some people believe in the so-called "one drop of semen and ten drops of blood". They regard semen as particularly valuable and believe that spermatorrhea will damage their health. In fact, this statement is unscientific. The main component of semen is water, which contains only a small amount of protein, sugars and inorganic salts, and the semen emitted each time is only three or four milliliters. Losing such a little thing will not affect your health.

As for the idea that spermatorrhea is a disease, it is obviously wrong. However, some boys have spermatorrhea too frequently, once a day or two, or even several times a night. In this case, they should go to the urology department for examination in time to determine whether there are other diseases such as prostatitis.
