In the middle of life, we always face change. Whether you like it or not. Change will come. It's just that if you prepare in advance, you change. If you don't prepare, wait to be changed.
But why are we always so difficult to change, as if all the forces are pulling us back?
1. Fear of dreams.
Don't think about it. It's impossible. You have heard this voice in many places, sometimes your friends, sometimes your family, sometimes they pretend to be "social reality", and he tells you authoritatively, don't think nonsense!
When we were children, we were never afraid of dreams. Unfortunately, when we grow up, our fear of dreams begins to grow. One day, when he grows stronger than your dream, you will always be trapped in reality.
Every great story comes from a great dream, Wright who flew into the sky, the first generation of elites who built the Internet, and Armstrong who landed on the moon. Most of the things in our life today are impossible for people 30 years ago. When you use these things, when you send text messages, fly and surf the Internet, don't forget to remind yourself that these achievements are victories for your dreams and fears.
2. Fear of failure.
When you start dreaming, prepare for a new life. Fear of failure will appear: don't be kidding! Don't lose face. Just think about it.
You may delay doing something because it is not perfect. Your mind is full of good ideas, but you never write them out. You have great ambitions in your heart, but you are never willing to do it. Because dreams are perfect, but reality is often imperfect.
Perfectionism is the most powerful weapon for fear of failure. Bill Gates' dream is to install his own software on every computer, but at the beginning, he can only beg IBM to install his own software, and only if some of their customers need it. If Bill Gates wants to achieve his dream from the beginning, he is probably just a poor programmer today.
The only way to defeat the fear of failure is to act as soon as possible and get closer to your dreams.
3. Fear of change.
The fear of change always depends on the power of others. And often the person closest to you. The most terrible thing is that they will always tell you that we are for you!
When you begin to dream and slowly achieve some results, you will cause the fear of the people around you. "That's too dangerous. You'd better come back." "That's not made by a girl. Don't do it." "Isn't it good to live in peace?"
When I resigned from the company and began to teach, my parents gave me this fear of change. When I came out of New Oriental, my colleagues also gave me this fear of change. They all told me that it was good. Don't move.
If you encounter fear of change, remember: if you can make people around you feel uneasy, congratulate yourself. You have begun to become strong, because people begin to control you when they feel they have no control over you. Only you know what you want!
Considering that 40 million people opposed Lincoln's civil war and Einstein's theory of relativity took six years to bear criticism, would you still be afraid of the fear of system change?
4. Fear of happiness.
If you can come here, I congratulate you. You make changes that many people can't. But pay attention to the fear of happiness!
People in love break through many barriers, but often fall into fear from the heart. This feeling is great. Will it really go on? Your happiness will start with this idea. You will collect evidence that happiness is no longer. If you decide this idea, you will often succeed in finding a lot of "evidence". Happiness begins to really leave you.
The fear of happiness mainly comes from your inner lack of qualification. We always feel that we are "not qualified" to be so happy. Feel the happiness and power of the moment, and you will find that we have been living in happiness. What we lack is not happiness, but the ability to feel happiness.
Someone asked Zen master: what is Zen? The Zen master said to eat when eating and drink water when drinking. It's amazing. The world is like this. Zen master said that people don't eat when they eat and don't drink water when they drink. So it's not Zen.
If you eat when you eat, love when you love, laugh when you laugh, and cry when you cry, you won't have the fear of happiness.
Are you afraid of change?
Are you afraid of change? In fact, everyone is afraid of change and eager to change at the same time.
If you really want to change your life, you should dare to fantasize like a child, dare to fail like a brave person, dare to insist like yourself, and be as safe as a Zen master.
What are the possibilities of you after change?
