First, you have to copy a SAM file on an individual computer. If this computer also has a password, you need to know what the password is. It's best to copy on a computer without a password. Open explorer. Open drive C and windows folder.
In the windows folder, slide down the manual slider to find a system32 folder and double-click to open it.
In the system32 folder, find a folder called config and double-click to open it.
In the config folder, drag the slider down to find a SAM file, which is the file containing password information. Copy this file to your USB flash drive. Then move the file from the USB flash drive to your computer where you forgot your password.
