Setting methods and steps of Gmail on outlook

Gmail's settings on outlook are divided into two parts, Gmail and outlook client settings. Now I'll tell you the detailed steps of Gmail's settings on outlook in these two aspects, hoping to help you!

I: settings on Gmail

Log in to your Gmail account and select "Settings" - > pop settings "- > in the upper right corner to enable it.

II. Settings on outlook

Open outlook or Outlook Express.

Click the tools menu and select account.

Click add, and then click mail

Enter your name in the "display name:" field,

Click next.

Enter the full Gmail email address in "email address":

Click next.

Enter "pop. Gmail. Com" in "receive mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:". Enter "SMTP. Gmail. Com" in "outgoing mail server (SMTP):".

Click next.

Enter your Gmail user name (including "@ gmail. Com") in the "account name:" field. Enter your Gmail password in the password: field and click next.

Click finish.

Highlight pop.gmail.com under accounts and click properties, or double-click

After a dialog box appears

Click the server tab and select the check box next to my server requires authentication.

Click the Advanced tab.

Select the check box next to this server requires a secure connection (SSL) under send mail (SMTP).

Enter 465 in the send mail (SMTP): field.

Select the check box next to "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)" under "receive mail (POP3)". This port will be changed to 995.

* the order of the send and receive mail server fields varies by version. Make sure you enter the correct information in each field.

Click OK.

Congratulations! You have finished configuring the client and can send and receive Gmail mail.

1. Install the latest outlook (it should be noted that outlook software must be installed to open PST files, but outlook has many different versions. Although the suffix of PST files exported by each version is the same, there is still a compatibility problem. It is best to install the latest version of outlook, because most of the software of window is downward compatible.)

2. Open PST file (after outlook is installed, you can open the file. But the normal double-click method can't open the PST file, so you need to import it.)

Open the file: Look menu, and then click look.

4. Select the folder where the PST file is located, and then click open. Enter the encryption password of PST file to open it. The password is the password you set yourself before.
