How to clean leather clothes
After wearing 100% leather clothes for a period of time, the leather surface and lining will be stained and moldy to varying degrees. The surface coating of smooth leather clothes will be worn to a certain extent, and even crack, drop and expose the bottom, making the leather clothes lose its original luster and become dirty. If it is not washed, dyed and maintained in time, it will not only affect the beauty and tidiness of its clothes, but also affect its service life. However, the washing, dyeing and maintenance and coloring of leather clothes are different from those of knitwear. It requires a certain degree of leather expertise.
1. Cleaning:
The dirt on leather clothes generally includes sweat secretion, all kinds of oil and dust and a variety of pigment pollution. It must be cleaned before coloring. The cleaning method refers to directly scrubbing the dirt on the leather surface with clean cotton cloth or cotton ball dipped in cleaning agent.
Common cleaning agents include (1) a mixture of ammonia, alcohol and water, (2) some weakly alkaline cleaning agents, and (3) some special leather cleaning agents. For some leather clothes that are not too dirty, class (1) (2) cleaning materials can be used, which are cheap and easy to obtain. For some dirty clothes or light colored leather clothes, it is better to choose some special leather cleaning agents for better effect. When cleaning, it shall be fully cleaned. Especially for particularly dirty places such as neckline, cuff and sleeve bottom, we should focus on treatment, and then cover them with appropriate color. Otherwise, it is difficult to cover the dirty background color, especially the light leather clothes.
2. Coloring:
After the leather clothes are cleaned, the smooth leather clothes are generally colored, which is professionally called "painting". It is a way to make finishing slurry with special leather chemicals such as pigment and resin and apply it to the leather surface by brushing, wiping and spraying. The lustful leather clothes shall be properly fixed to prevent color fading. If the main part of the back of the leather garment after coloring is wrinkled or uneven, it is best to iron it with an iron to make it more flat and beautiful. When ironing, it is best to pad a piece of silk cloth on the leather surface. The ironing temperature should be controlled in the range of 80 ~ 100 ℃. The ironing time at each place should not be too long to prevent the "migration" of some pigments in the coating from causing color flowers. Light colored leather clothes should be paid special attention to. Finally, don't forget to wipe the color on the buttons and accessories with a wet cloth.
How to maintain leather clothes
1. When wearing. When wearing leather clothes, pay attention to avoid contact with oil, acidic or alkaline substances. If you accidentally get greasy dirt, you should use a neutral detergent to wipe it. It's best to dry the greasy dirt with a clean cotton cloth as soon as possible.
2. Dry. Leather clothes should be dried before collection, but exposure is not recommended. They can be hung in a cool and ventilated place. If the leather garment is wrinkled, you can iron it with an iron, but the temperature should be controlled between 60 ~ 70 degrees, and the iron should not directly contact the surface of the leather garment, which can prevent a piece of silk from ironing on the surface of the leather garment. It should also be noted that one part cannot stay too long, and sliding ironing can be used.
3. When collecting. Leather goods are easy to lose luster, so you can polish them with leather polish when necessary. When polishing, just dip a cloth with polish and gently wipe them on the leather clothes once or twice. You don't need to repeat this action frequently, just polish them once every two or three years. It is not recommended to put moth repellents such as camphor pills in the wardrobe where leather clothes are placed. These things will make it difficult to remove the strong odor adsorbed on leather clothes. In addition, when collecting leather clothes, folding and heavy pressure should be avoided.
How do I wash my leather jacket
Some people do not know the knowledge of cleaning and maintenance, resulting in the degeneration of leather jacket leather. In fact, the cleaning and maintenance of leather jackets only need to master the following points:
1. Leather jackets can be polished every two or three years. When polishing, just use a soft cloth dipped in the polishing agent to lightly apply it on the leather surface for 1 ~ 2 times, but do not wipe it with leather shoe oil.
2. When wearing, do not touch oil and acid-base substances. If there is oil stain, you can use a soft cloth dipped in gasoline or carbon tetroxide to wipe the oil stain repeatedly until it is clean. Before wiping, you can first test the secondary parts of the leather jacket, especially the colored leather. Be careful to see whether the leather fades or denatures. Don't be careless.
3. When the weather turns warm and you don't wear it, dry the leather face inward, wipe the surface with a clean cloth and dry it. Finally, put leather jacket oil on it and hang it with a clothes hanger. If it is placed flat, it should be placed on other clothes to avoid crushing and wrinkling, which will affect the appearance.
4. As the main component of cowhide, sheepskin and pig skin is protein, they are prone to moisture, mildew and insects. Therefore, when wearing leather jackets, avoid contact with oil, acid and alkaline substances. If the oil stain is stuck, you can first sprinkle talcum powder on the oil stain, place it for about a day, let it absorb the oil, and then wipe off the stain with a wet soft cotton cloth. If there is blood stain, use a piece of waste skin of the same color as leather jacket, dip in some liquid to wash semen, and touch it at the blood stain to remove it. If there are wine stains or rain stains, dip some clean soft cotton cloth in water to remove the stains, and then hang it in a ventilated place to dry naturally. It is not allowed to bake next to the stove.
