The DVD function in the computer is rarely used now. Everyone will feel that this function is useless. You can view videos directly on the web page, but we still have users who need to see some tutorials to use this function. Here are some relevant materials I sorted out about the non response of win7 system after putting DVD into the CD-ROM drive for your reference.
1. First, we need to open the start menu, and then see an option of the control panel. Select the window to open the control panel. After opening, we can select the icon display to see a lot of tool icons.
2. Then we select the icon option of "auto play" to open it;
3. Select to open the auto play option. In the window, we choose to check the option "use auto play for all media and devices";
4. This option is to enable our DVD disc to open the player program by default. Our computer has an automatic player. The above steps are set to enable the computer to read the disc and play it automatically.
To solve the problem of "optical drive (recorder) loss", we need to start with "hard" and "soft".
1. Hardware inspection: first, check whether the data cable connecting the optical drive (recorder) is firmly or inversely inserted, and whether there is open circuit, poor contact, etc. If necessary, it can be verified by replacing the normal data line. If the optical drive (recorder) and the hard disk use the same data cable to connect to the same IDE interface, you also need to check whether the master and slave jumpers of the optical drive are set correctly.
2. Software problem: after confirming that the hardware connection is correct, the following two methods can be used to try to solve it:
① configure config Sys and Autoexec bat。 Usually, these configuration files will not be used when the optical drive (recorder) can be used normally. Because using the real mode driver of the optical drive (recorder) in these configuration files will reduce the disk reading performance of the optical drive. After the optical drive (recorder) is "lost", we can add the real mode driver of the optical drive (recorder) to these configuration files. After restarting, we can find the optical drive (recorder). Then delete the two configuration files and restart, and the system will automatically use the standard driver under windows to drive the optical drive (recorder).
② delete the hard disk controller. After most people find that they have "lost" the CD-ROM drive (recorder), they will first think of using the "find new hardware" function of windows to find the CD-ROM drive (recorder). However, the "find new hardware" function is not always effective. It often fails to find the "lost" optical drive (recorder). The way to solve the problem is to open "my computer" → "control panel" → "system" → "device manager" → "hard disk controller", and then click "delete", the computer will ask to restart. After restarting, the computer will find the primary IDE controller and secondary IDE controller and automatically install the driver. After starting the computer again, the "lost" optical drive (recorder) can be found.
